Biller's Advantage 837 State Direct module is a powerful electronic claims processing system (EDI) that can include automatic payment posting (Biller's Advantage 835 AutoPost) and fully automated claim submission for most payers. 837 State Direct can process any type of claim to any payer in Michigan without monthly or per-claim fees.

Midwest Tech Group, LLC is an approved software vendor in Michigan for Biller's Advantage productts. Covered insurance types include Medicare (part A and B), Medicaid, and Blue Cross, and commercial Payers.

Biller's Advantage State Direct does not use a print image to process claims. 837 State Direct reads the claims directly from the billing system database and marks them as sent, just like the practice management system itself. This is why we can process so many types of claims that go above and beyond the capabilities of most clearinghouses or "direct modules" supplied by the practice management system developers. This is also why we can post the functional acknowledgements and electronic remittance payment files.

As Biller's Advantage 837 State Direct processes the claims the information is "mapped" into the electronic file format. During this mapping process we can make intelligent decisions about the data in the claim. For example, we can select the proper codes and values to send based on the type of services a patient has received. After mapping, the claims are reviewed against the edit rules to be sure the information is correct before they're transmitted.

Biller's Advantage 837 State Direct was designed to be configurable. We can adapt to changing requirements and new payers without changing our core software, it's simply a configuration item for us. This is also the reason one program can work for any payer and it gives us the ability to include any information from anywhere in the practice management system in the electronic claim file.
